[15] But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.\u00a0<\/span> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Mt 6:14-15 NLTse<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8230;\u00a0you need to revisit what you were like when God first forgave you. Ep 2 indicates you were a \u201cforeigner\u201d and a \u201cchild of wrath.\u201d Yet God forgave your most grievous sin and rebellion against Him. While you were still rejecting God, Christ died for you<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"> ([8] But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.\u00a0 Ro 5:8)<\/span>. This being so, how can you refuse to forgive &#8230;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>&#8230; Forgiveness is a choice. Jesus looked down on those who had ruthlessly and mockingly nailed Him to a cross, yet &#8230;<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">([34] Jesus said, <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">&#8220;Father, forgive them, for they don&#8217;t know what they are doing.&#8221;<\/span> And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. Lk 23:34). <\/span>\u00a0How, then, can we refuse to forgive&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0&#8230;Jesus said that the measure in which we are forgiving is the same standard God will use in forgiving us. God&#8217;s ways are very different from ours. God&#8217;s forgiveness is not based on standards we determine, but on the standards He established in His Word. God allows for no exceptions when it comes to forgiveness&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8230;([32] Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Ep 4:32; [13] Make allowance for each other&#8217;s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.\u00a0 Col 3:13).<\/span> &#8230;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h2><strong>&#8230;Would you want God to forgive you in the same way you are presently forgiving others?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Ephesians Chapter 2\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Made Alive with Christ<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u00a0[2:1] Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins&#8230;.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8230;[5] that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God&#8217;s grace that you have been saved!) <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8230;8] God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can&#8217;t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. [9] Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. &#8230;<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8230;[16] Together as one body, Christ reconciled both groups to God by means of his death on the cross, and our hostility toward each other was put to death&#8230;.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">&#8230; [20] Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.
