Our calling is not to be solitary Christians but to be members of a priesthood (1Pe 2:9)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;When he learned that false teachers had caused Christians in Corinth to stumble in their faith, Paul burned with indignation&#8230;rejoice when a church member rejoices and to weep when a fellow member weeps (1Co 12:26)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;We must do everything with our fellow Christian in mind (1Co 14:12)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">[9]\u00a0But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests,*[ Greek a royal priesthood.] a holy nation, God&#8217;s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. Since you are so eager to have the special abilities the Spirit gives, seek those that will strengthen the whole church.
